High-energy gel batteries can be charged at a current value of 0.3-0.4CA, and the normal charging time is 3-4 hours, which is only 1/4 of the charging time of lead-acid batteries. It can also be fast charged, the current value is 0.8-1.5CA, the fast charging time is 1 hour, and the speed is more than 0.5 hours. When charging with a large current, the high-concentration gel battery has no obvious temperature rise, which does not affect the performance of the electrolyte and the life of the battery. The fast charging characteristics of high-concentration colloidal batteries have broad application prospects in industries that require fast charging.


 High current discharge characteristics 

According to the charging capacity, the discharge capacity of the battery is also a very important technical indicator. The shorter the time that a battery with a certain rated capacity can be discharged, the stronger the discharge capacity. The domestic communication battery discharge standard is 10 hours, and the power battery is 5 hours. Due to the extremely small internal resistance of the electrolyte, high-concentration colloidal batteries have good high-current discharge characteristics, and can generally be discharged at a current value of 0.6-0.8CA. The short-term discharge capacity of the power battery should be as high as 15-30CA. The two-hour rate discharge capacity of high-energy colloidal batteries tested by the National Battery Quality Inspection Center has reached the international advanced level.


 Self-discharge characteristics 

small self-discharge, maintenance-free, and easy to store for a long time. Ordinary lead-acid batteries must be normally discharged/charged for maintenance after being stored at 20 for 180 days due to self-discharge, otherwise the battery life may be affected. Because the internal resistance of the high-concentration gel battery is only one tenth of that of the lead-acid battery, the self-discharge electrode is small, and there is no memory effect. It can be stored for one year at room temperature, and the capacity can still maintain 90% of the nominal capacity. Yes, this indicator is the international advanced level.

The high-energy gel battery has a powerful full charge and full discharge function. Repeated overdischarge or complete charge and discharge have little effect on the battery, and the lower limit protection of 10.5V (12V nominal voltage) can be cancelled or reduced, which is very important for power batteries. Lead-acid batteries generally have 10.5V undervoltage protection in use. When the voltage is lower than 10.5V, they cannot continue to discharge. This is not only because of poor low voltage operation characteristics, but more importantly because deep discharge can damage the plates.

High-energy colloidal batteries have strong self-healing ability, large recoil capacity, short recovery time, and can be used again after a few minutes of discharge, which is especially beneficial for emergency use.

High-energy gel batteries can be used normally in the environment of -50C to +50C, but the capacity of lead-acid batteries drops sharply when used in environments below -18C.
